Looking at Robert & Grace's birth reg, mmn = Hallet is common to both..

This is a possible.

Marriages Q2 1845
Ford Ann
Gard Mary
Gard Ruth
Gray Joseph
Hallet Ann
Yeovil 10, 955

Geoff

EDIT: Probably the 2x T in Hallett that threw it [post #21], GRO has 2x T, the above Hallet should have 2x T.

Both got same mmn HALLETT

Can't find the two marriages to show that's correct.

Shipping record tomorrow should have parents of Grace and Joseph.

Marriage of Joseph Gray/Grey to a Hallett ??

Marriage of Joseph Chant to a Hallett ??

Marriages Jun 1845 Yeovil 10 955
GRAY Joseph & HALLET Ann

Births Mar 1848 CHANT Joseph Yeovil 10 551 mmn HALLETT
Births Sep 1850 GRAY Grace Yeovil 10 569 mmn HALLETT

The other marriage?

Trying to prove that the 1855 (arrival) Joseph (John & Elizabeth) is the uncle of the 1875 (arrival) Joseph (Adam & Jane)

But Adam's parents are Robert & Sarah not John & Elizabeth.

Thanks Geoff.

The Joseph who arrived in 1875 was born 1848 so parents should be Adam Chant and Jane Hallett.

The Joseph who arrived in 1855 was born abt 1827 - parents John Chant & Elizabeth ... ?

The 1855 one is the uncle of the 1875 one but seems not on Chant side because Adam & Joseph (the elder) have different parents.

So is it Elizabeth Hallett??

Still relatively confused o_O

This may be parents marriage..

Somerset, England, Marriage Registers, Bonds and Allegations, 1754-1914

John Chant
Date: 25 Nov 1819
Marriage Place: Middle Chinnock, Somerset
Parish as it Appears: Middle Chinnock
Spouse: Elizabeth Murford
Witnesses Joseph Ford [possible church official] & possibly Edward Chant.
Image looks like Mudford rather than Murford.

Thanks Geoff.

If that is the marriage then we don't have 2x Hallett and we don't have same father for Adam and Joseph born 1827.

County Somerset
Place West Chinnock
Church name St Mary
Register type Parish Register
Register entry number 174
Baptism date 04 Aug 1822
Person forename Adam

Father forename Robert
Mother forename Sarah

Robert & Sarah. Then how can one Joseph be the uncle of the other ??
