The only Sarah Beach I can find who fits in 1851 is working as a servant in Cheltenham. It gives her birth place as Bristol though

HO107/1973/F1076/p29 Montpellier Terrace, Cheltenham.

Thanks Emeltee.

I still don't know if F = Force or not.

The marriage shows Sarah to be 27 ? and Father William ?

So 2x Sarah born Whitchurch?

I can't find anything the helps using father as William.

Searching for Sarah and Whitchurch I get Hampshire and Ontario Canada and the family name Whitchurch and nothing that helps.

When sarah married in 1856 both she and John were servants at the same address, White Hart Row Cheltenham.

This is William Beach the Farmer in 1841:

Name: Wm Beach Sr.
Age: 45
Estimated birth year: abt 1796
Gender: Male
Where born: Gloucestershire, England
Civil Parish: Quedgeley
Hundred: Whitstone (Upper Division)
Piece: 370
Book: 13
Folio: 2
Page Number: 10
Household Members:
Name Age
Wm Beach Sr. 45
Jno Beach 20
Sarah Beach 15
Mary Wakefield 25
Joseph Pooham 4

I think the census which says Sarah was born in Whitchurch is wrong, because I think this is her in the 1851 census:

Name: Sarah Beach
Age: 24
Estimated birth year: abt 1827
Relation: Servant
Gender: Female
Where born: Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
Civil Parish: Cheltenham
Ecclesiastical parish: Westall
ED, institution, or vessel: 1nn
Household schedule number: 103
Piece: 1973
Folio: 1076
Page Number: 29
Household Members:
Name Age
Louisa Cooke 87
Louisa Devonshire 53
Cornelia Devonshire 29
Sophia Devonshire 21
Sarah James 81
Elizabeth Oakey 35
Emma Decket 55
Sarah Beach 24

It's a different address to when she married. Both she and John were servants at White Hart Row Cheltenham.

The baptism is very odd, I can only find this:

Name: Sarah Ann Beach
Baptism Date: 16 Apr 1821
Parish: Quedgeley, Gloucestershire, England
Father: William Beach a farmer
Mother: Ann Beach

Which makes Sarah 20 in 1841 not 15. I looked to see if there was a death and perhaps they had another Sarah at a later date....but nothing.

William married Ann Guilding in Quedgeley 5th December 1815.

Frank John is the connection to my tree.

I've not yet seen the images of 1861 and 1871 census (they are on my list along with lots of other 'P' families to view at the local library and save to USB) so don't know about ages 24 and 40.

Still trying to determine when Sarah was born.

Hi Danielle and welcome to the Forum.

I'm not directly related. This is the connection to my tree

Evening News (Sydney, NSW) - Mon 19 Jan 1914 p.1
SOCIAL ITEMS.
WEDDINGS.
At St. Jude's Church, Dural, Augustus, third son of the late Mr. J. Fletcher, of Rockdale (late of Scotland), was married to May, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Parker, of 'Lynwood' Dural. The Rev. J. W. Roberts officiated.

Joseph Augustus Fletcher's mother was a Furner as was my grandmother from another Furner line.

Hi Danielle,

I’ve been trying to find out more about Sarah for some time, have you turned up anything since this post?

Sarah’s husband John was my 4th Great Uncle.

Regards

Matthew Parker
