Sarah Jane WILLIAMS b. abt 1830 Somerset - parents John & Sarah

Arrived NSW in 1856
Sarah J 25 General Servant - Clifton Somerset - John & Sarah Williams living at Clifton - CE

From Sarah Jane's marriage in 1854 her father John is a lawyer.

I've not had any luck yet finding a baptism or the marriage of John & Sarah or with census.

Don't yet have a death for Sarah Jane in Australia or NZ.

You had the same trouble. :2fun:

It was decided L looked like L in Labourer hence Lawyer rather then S in Spinster so not Sawyer on the marriage record.

That has to be Gloucestershire then Julie. Not far out of Bristol.

The 18341 census definitely states sawyer as his occupation.
