Dunno. Might be an error. I can't see 2x in 1841 in Fife. Unless we have 2x Peter & Sarah and one family moved from Fife by 1841.

John Gardiner
Scotland, Marriages, 1561-1910
marriage: 14 June 1809 Dunfermline,Fife,Scotland
spouse: Margaret Kelty

I can't see a baptism for a Sarah BROWN in Fife or a previous marriage for Sarah GARDINER.

The marriage with name Sarah BROWN is an 'M' batch so extracted not submitted.

Using those names and date and place there is no record on SP:

Peter STEWART & Sarah BROWN
25 May 1839 Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland
Batch: M100121

or STEUART

Adam KELTIE & Elizabeth DUNDAS(S)
18 Nov 1775 Culross, Perth

I have no daughter Margaret for them.

The Culross baptisms have been extracted. Like Torryburn lots of records have survived.

Thanks Geoff.

Looks as though there is no connection within one generation for Margaret.

No luck finding Margaret or John in 1841 as Gardner or Gardiner.

I'd better check for a tree. Can't find one.

Interesting that Margaret has a sister named Christian.

Peter's mother is Christian KELTIE.

I've found a gap. :)

1871
Civil Parish: Dunfermline Burgh
County: Fife
Address: Moodie Street
Catherine Cumming Head 52 Dunfermline
Christina dau 27 Dunfermline
Catherine dau 23 Dunfermline
Christina Stewart mother 81 Culross (transcribed as Cutross)

Christian/Christina isn't with daughter Catherine Cumming at Moodie Street in 1861.

From Death Certificate:
Death: 1873; Moodie Street, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland; widow of Peter Stewart, general labourer; age 84; parents Adam Kelty, ship carpenter, deceased and Elizabeth Blair Kelty M.S. Dundas, deceased; died from general debility; witness Peter Stewart, son, living at Moramill Street.

1851
Civil Parish: Dunfermline
County: Fife
Address: Moodie Street
Peter Stewart 62 ag lab Perth
Christian wife 56 Culcross [Culross]
Archibald son 23 Dunfermline
David son 20 Dunfermline

Don't have Peter senior and spouse Christian/Christina in 1861.

I have no death for Peter senior or junior.
