Dave can you decipher the following marriage certificate please?

This is what I think it says, but I am not sure.

1867
On 3rd day of June at .. Edinburgh after banns according to the forms of the free church of Scotland
- William Mitchell, Railway Labourer, Bachelor 20 Brunswick St, Edinb. Father Peter Mitchell, Farm Servant decd and Margaret Mitchell (ms Young also decd)
-
- Isabella Knowells, Farm Servant, Spinster 21 …. Square, Edinb Father George Knowells, Tailor decd and Margaret Knowells (decd) ms ……

It won't let me attach the marriage cert as it is already in a thread
Births - Re: William Merrylea Mitchell Msg 101. Incidentally could you please tell me how to delete previous attachments anywhere in the forum as my limit is nearly reached

Here is another - it is supposed to be the 1871 Census for Isabella Knowles (Knowells) - I can't read anything and she is supposed to be married to William Mitchell, so I don't know why he's not there.

She is on the top line, and I don't know if anyone else is with her.

I got a second one where she is down the bottom somewhere with a 2yo child - she is the sister of someone, and with a niece. I can see she is a farm servants wife from Aberdeen (town unreadable)

I am surprised at the quality of 1871 census :(

McLachlan 29 William McLachlan potter Cowcaddens & Elizabeth Bell residing in the Parish of Kirriemuir. Married at Kirriemuir the 18th day of July 1845 by the Revd. James Stirling minister of the Relief Chapel in the Parish of Kirriemuir

Cowcaddens is an area of the city of Glasgow, Scotland. It is virtually in the city centre and is bordered by the areas of Garnethill to the south and Townhead to the east.

I can't read either census as posted. Attachments get cut down in size and therefore resolution. One solution is to host the file on some site such as Photobucket and then post the link to the image. That way you get the original resolution. The page even then may still be difficult to read.

That seems to be right Dave, age is right, I know she was from Aberdeen, but not sure where exactly, and she was married.

I presume all the people on that page were at the same address?

This next one I am sending, I only want to know the street address - it looks like Jake Street but can't find one in Barony, or Paisley or Glasgow.

The one you are doing now is tricky isnt it :(

524 J

It's a long street so it's unlikely to vanish.

Is John steet long enough ? No, ends about 73.

Duke street is long enough.

Ha Ha Dave, I had started to reply about the Potter at Cowcaddens and at that moment you did too so I thought you had it all in control...

happens to me a lot, I am too slow at the replies :D

The address is 64 Nicolson square and the other address at Brunswick has a number too but can't be sure what it is.

John Pirie or Perie but Pirie sounds more likely is a minister of the Cowgate Free Church and below
is signed James Pirie, witness (I think)
James Johnston witness.

Thanks Barbara.

I was sure you would have some success where I failed.

Oh. I forgot the word 'witness' follows so I was looking for family names as the last word.

It looks like Pirie.
