Search Bannister roots c1807

Im searching for confirmation of James Bannister birth/christening. I have located James, married to Lydia Leech in Tipton c1823, in census's from 1841 onwards but would love to be able to track down his parents. I have his birth as c1807, born Dudley, via the census but can not tie him down in the parish records, any help gratefully received as I am at a full stop.
