Hi

Hit yet another brick wall!!. Can anyone help me find any info on the following members of the Hilliam family.

JENNIE KATHLEEN b 1895, Stamford, Lincs
MILDRED BERTHA b 1886 Stamford Lincs.

They are the daughters of John William Hilliam and Sarah Jane. They had 6 children and I have managed to trace 4 of them (William Thomas, Nellie Agnes, Alice Louise and Eunice Mary). I have found Mildred Beatrice on 1911 census in Walton upon Thames but can't find any marriage or death for her after that time. The same with Jenny Kathleen. Any help would be great xx

HI,

Mildred Bertha Hilliam was my great grandmother. She married George Middleton in the parish of Church Stretton and went on to have three sons. First born was George Arthur Conrad, then John Alexander Vernon and my grandfather Esmond Norman Kenneth.

I believe they lived in Sutton Coldfield.

Mildred died in 1921 in a car accident. She was driving, which I believe was quite uncommon in those days. All three boys were in the car with her at the time, all of them survived.

I can't work out why George and Mildred married in Shropshire when neither of them were from here originally. We now live there so it would be wonderful to find out more, although I am sure that you can't help in this regard.

I hope the above is of interest.

Lucy
