Hi Researching A mariner, William THOMAS, who died 1837. He lived in Wapping. later Stepney. His wife remarried in 1838.
There is a death of William THOMAS in the Ebenezer Independent Chapel at Shadwell Parish of Stepney, 1837 I would appreciate a look-up from any with access to The Genealogist or RG4 records RG$ 4256 and the year is 1837.
Regards, Hilary

Hilary,
The only one I can find with that name is William Thomas aged 9 months who is in burials at Johnson St, St George, Shadwell in 1837 RG4/4526/38.

Obviously not your mariner.

Thank You Barbara, for looking.
The other possibility is a manifest for the ship Susannah - also the name of his first daughter. The Susannah was dismasted off Savannah - and two sailors lost overboard - one a Wm Thomas. However it's a common name and a process of elimination is necessary. Thank you Hilary
