Hi there

I'm expanding my family tree search, this time from my mother's mother's family, Sharp
I have been able to go back as far as Henry John Sharp who I have been told was, Born 10 Jul 1855 in Southampton, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom
Husband of Jessie (McDonald) Sharp.
I have not had any luck finding out much except he was likely to have been the son of Henry T and Maria (Sharp)
He died in NSW Australia in 1935.
I have had no luck at all with Jessie McDonald.
Any help here would be appreciated.

Regards
Kevin

Thanks Dave

You've gone all out for me, I really appreciate it
It's great to have the info about his and her parents, that can help spread my search hugely.
So, Jessie was a Liverpool lass, I wonder how they met up?

Cheers
Kevin

I don't know.
It's worth pursuing that thread though.

It's interesting, if he was from Southampton and she was from Liverpool, what were they doing getting married in Canterbury?
It wasn't as though you could travel easy.
Possibly they were at University together.

Jessie's birth and death have mother as Agnes. No marriage any closer to 1859.

Pity is does not say where Donald was from.

7x deaths in NSW for Agnes McDonald with father's name starting with J.

I'm having trouble finding the right Sharp family in census and the arrival of Henry.
