Hi Gibbo, I get sidetracked so much, that I forget what I was looking for in the first place. 6 hours of sidetacking is not uncommon for me.
One minute I'm in my home town census, and then at the end of it, I'm looking at Canada for someone totally unrelated. WHY!!!!!!!:D

Ok so we all do it! thats good, i thought it might be taking me so long to do my research because i was to busy stickybeaking into someone else family. I was reading about mining accidents in Queensland in the late 1800's. Having my hubby working in a mine im certainly glad their safety laws have improved!

Ah, so your about 9hrs in front of us. So you've still got time to look at these pictures.

Search for Princes Risborough and you'll see some old pics of my home town. That should sidetrack ya for a bit.>:D :)

William Short? yep he was a miner out at Freizland near Cloncurry qld.
Apparently they changed the name of the place from Freizland to Kuridala early in the 1900's. That is why the name thing would have thrown me, as we knew the place as Kuridala and not Freizland. We had been told that William owned land in Ravenswood before that so i checked that out and he didnt, he was a miner there as well.
