Appears to transported for seven years, for Larceny and recieving. He's in Reading jail in 1851, and back with his wife and family by 1861.

Any records of him being transported. Which I would guess, would be Australia.

Married Sarah Grimsdel in 1835, @ Princes Risborough.

I have all the other usual info for him and his family, just anything of his transportation.......if it happened.

Transportation to Australia was near the very end at that date. A lot of convicts who were to be transported just did their time out in a prison in England.

That seems to be what happened to your fella

Licence number 419: Simeon Parslow.

Convicted of Stealing a tarpaulin at the Quarter Sessions at Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, 14 October 1850.

Then aged 40 years and by trade a Sawyer.

Sentence: 7 years' transportation.

Licence granted: 14 February 1854, for early release from Dartmoor prison.

Thanks Gibbo & Lee.O0

Dartmoor.......that's nearly as bad, if not worse than getting sent to Australia.:2fun:

3 deaths for Simeon Parslow. One in 1877, Uxbridge, which the one that went to Prison. 1 in Bucks, in 1886(he never married). And the last one is a 1 month old baby of Levi & Sarah Parslow, in 1865.

I would think the death date of 1849 was used, because he unable to be found in census, or some rotten transcription, like this.... _[Ei]M*N Parslow..

Thanks again me hearties. Arrrrrh.!!!!

I was wondering if he was called Simeon because of a mispelling?

Maybe he was called Solomon(like his father) and it was transcribed as Simeon:)
