Sir John Atwell 1911-1999

I'm hoping someone can confirm for me the birth date of John William Atwell in Glasgow in 1911 and the names of his parents. I'm hoping his parents will be James Lawther (Lauder/Lauther) Atwell and Maria (nee Hamilton)? If I'm wrong it ends a family myth that John, later Sir John, was a relation.
