I have a couple in my tree who it seems didn't bother getting married until they wanted to travel outside Australia in 1950s and needed passports. So they got married, 40 years late. :2fun:

My grandmother did not register my uncles birth until 20yrs after the event, and only then because he was going to enlist and wanted his birth certificate!
Ancestors do not make life easy for family historians! :eek:
