Is there anyone out there who could help me with South African records please? I am trying to find a marriage for a great uncle and i havent been able to access any records for South Africa. His name was Richard Shipman and he was born in 1877 in Doncaster England. He went to the Boer War and we know he survived but we can find no trace of him back in England after the war and family talk is that he stayed in Africa and married there. I am trying to find a marriage date for him. Would appriecate some advice please.
