Hello,

Marriages Jun 1869
COOTE Elizabeth Jane Hastings 2b 17
FURNER Ann Hastings 2b 17
Smith James Hastings 2b 17
Willard Spencer Hastings 2b 17

Neither of the following fit the Spencer who married in 1869.

1. Spencer WILLARD - 1881 British Census / Sussex
Nephew Gender: Male Birth: <1853> Guestling, Sussex, England
2. Spencer WILLARD - 1881 British Census / Sussex
Head Gender: Male Birth: <1814> Guestling, Sussex, England

Deaths Jun 1906
Willard Spencer 89 Hastings 2b 23

Deaths Dec 1925
Willard Spencer 73 Hastings 2b 17

I'd like a look up please for Spencer WILLARD in 1871. I have not been able to match the couples but I suspect it's James & Elizabeth and Spencer could be a widower. I might be proved wrong. :)

Regards,

Dave

Hello dave,

Thank you very much.

That is handy having Sarah there. :)

Oh. Now I have a problem. We have found a marriage for Sarah that leads to this death:

Deaths Dec 1864
Jenner Sarah Richardson Hastings 2b 26

So if that is correct then it is not the Ann I expected who married Spencer. I have dob for Ann as 1842 Guestling.

Ok I have one extra Ann and Sarah to deal with. That makes 6x Sarah in my tree. I'll return to this later.

Regards,

Dave

Hello dave,

Yes, thanks it was what I wanted, sort of. :D No thanks just the Spencer who married in 1869.

I could not find that one in 1881. I just posted the two I did find not that I need either.

Thanks.

Regards,

Dave

Hello dave,

Yes that is Sarah in 1851 who died in 1864 and the Ann I thought I had a marriage for.

Marriages Sep 1857
Breach Henry Hastings 2b 39
Jenner William Hastings 2b 39 ***
Turner Ann Hastings 2b 39
Turner Sarah Richardson Hastings 2b 39 ***

I thought the Ann in my tree had married Spencer but it seems not. So I still need to find a marriage, if there was one, and her death.

I don't know yet if Ann TURNER is a FURNER or not. One more question to answer.

I'll have to try and find the parents of Ann & Sarah in the 1871 census you found.

So it seems Ann & Spencer died between 1871 & 1881.

Regards,

Dave

Hello dave,

I think I've found the parents of Ann & Sarah (born Westfield) together in 1871 with Spencer.

Marriages Mar 1840
FURNER Thomas Battle 7 279
GILL Harriet Battle 7 279

I have 10x Thomas FURNERs in my tree but not the one who married Harriet.

Regards,

Dave

Please see if you can find that one and see if Henry is a widower. I can't see spouse Ann with him. I can't see a death for Ann before 1861. I still don't know if Ann is a Furner or a Turner.

Hello cp,

Thank you very much.

If ppb for Ann is correct then it's not an Ann FURNER in my tree, even if it is not TURNER which it could still be. :D

It will be another month before I look at any FURNER again. :2fun:

Regards,

Dave
