Could anyone tell me what townships came under stockport
circa 1810 i have done all of all the churches in the stockport
itself I want to try the outskirts thanks

Gorton is only a couple of miles north of Stockport and I did find a Richard Moss baptised there on the IGI.

Ive seen the gorton baptism but why does it say stockport on all four
census ? did gorton come under stockport at that time?

When did Richard Moss die? Have you looked for other Moss people born in Stockport at the time Richard was born?

there is a site online you can order maps that have townlands for the stockport area from the 1600s for a fee , there are a lot of area's that are partly in the stockport area like levenshume for instance find the link below , hope this will help,
