Hello peeps ;D
I am now researching another branch of the family tree. I spend so much time on this it's a wonder I manage to go to work!! This time it is the Stretch family. They come originally from the Wiltshire area but I think that some of them ended up in Liverpool and Westminster, London. Edward Stretch(a grocer - thank god for sensible jobs) married a Rebecca or Rebekah (no surname) in 1710. They had five children - Thomas b1711, Mary b 1713, Betty b1720, John b1726 (John is my ggggggrandfather) and Dennis b1732. Edward and Rebecca both died in 1744. It is Thomas' line that I am most interested in. He had a son Edward b1734 who also had a son Edward b1775. He married somebody called Ann, don't know when or where, they had two sons Edward b 1809 and Drew b 1811 and a daughter Annie b 1814. All were born in Westminster, London. Drew then managed to find his way north and get married (not necessarily in that order!) as I am fairly sure that he had a son named Drew b1846 in Liverpool. Are you confused?
Good - so am I!!
