Hi Everyone,
I have just used up my remaining Credit"s on a Site I didn"t really think was worth the money.
Can anyone please recommend a Site which they have found to be goon value? Because as a poor poverty stricken OAP (BooHoo) I do have to watch the pennies.

I quite llike the gen***ogist site, I can generally find what I want on there, even hard to find transcriptions from the censuses (the ones A***stry has problems with or not bothered transcribing)

Hi Littlemo,

I am on one paid site but I have found forums that are free, like this:biggrin: has been alot of help, even more sometimes, I am also part of another forum the is just for people also looking for ancestery of the same last name. example for me it is the wood genealogy, I have Wood on both sides even though it has not helped with my mothers side I have actually talk to some on my fathers side and I am back in the late 1500's there. One of my uncles actually paid to have my fathers side searched but I have been able to confirm or find differences by others, even errors. If money is tight, stop paying accept for what you really need (certificates) and have others help where they can. Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the Suggestions, I will try them all and see how I get on.
As I have a GGran Elizabeth Donnelly (nee Medley) listed in 1901 & 1891 Census as being born in Calcutta India, I am thinking of joining he FIBIS Site, Has anyone had any dealings with this one & did they think it was good value for money?

Have you thought of joining up with some others and sharing the cost for one of the search sites. Otherwise there's loads of free sites too.

I took your advice & looked at the gen***ogist site & thought it looked quite good so Iv"e joined.
So far I am just confirming some info I already have but Yes it does seem pretty good
