Sullivan Family - Not found anywhere

I am having some difficulty in finding my relatives on my Grandmothers side of my family. Their family name is Sullivan. I am finding several hundred Sullivans at various Census dates but none of them seem to be related to my family.

My first difficulty in establishing their whereabouts is that I cannot seem to establish with any degree of certainty where the Registration Sub District of Pentonville is during the mid to late 1800's.

I have three birth certificates which give the registration district as being Pentonville, but searching the BMD, Pentonville is not mentioned as far as I can see.

Also searching the various UK Census records, I cannot find these individuals or their mother and father.

The complete family group as far as I know is :-

Jeremiah Sullivan (Head) born 1884 in Cork, Ireland.
Hannah Sullivan (nee Smith) born abt 1847
John Sullivan
James Daniel Sullivan (Son) born 1874, died 15 March 1931
George Sullivan (Son) born 1877, died 21 April 1938
William Sullivan (Son) born 14 Nov 1878, died 22 April 1906
Hannah Sullivan (Daughter) born 23 Jan 1880, died 19 Sept 1924
Lucy Sullivan (Daughter) born 27 July 1885, died 02 July 1927. My Grandmother.
Edward Sullivan (Son) born 5 March 1887.
Honora Elizabeth Sullivan (Daughter) born 26 Apr 1889, died 3 Sept 1939.

Can someone help me sort out where this family were living?

Many thanks

Gary

Thanks for the replies.

Yes I to have found the family referred to with Thomas as the head of family, but on Lucy Sullivans marriage certificate, her father is noted as Jeremiah Sullivan.

I don't know what to make of this.

I also have some correspondence from a distant relation in the USA, (now deceased) who confirms that the head of the family was Jeremiah Sullivan, who married Hannah Smith.

The other confusing part about all this, is that when my father was alive he mentioned to me that he rembered going to see his mothers father at a dairy near where he lived. He lived at Stanbury Road, SE london, and there was a dairy at Lugard Road, just around the corner.

Don't know how to resolve this problem at the moment.

Thanks for the replies though.

Sorry, but I don't have an accurate date of birth for Jeremiah.

Thanks for looking though.

Gary

P.s. I am sorry. I have just noticed my typo. Jeremiah Sullivan was born about 1844, NOT 1884.
