Hi Stevie

Could this be him. No other matches besides a Sydney Thomas G Bedford born in 1898 in Bridport.

Sydney Thomas Bedford 1881 Apr-May-Jun Medway (1837-1941) Kent 2a 524

Hi

Oh yes, it looks like baby Sydney died.

It could be the 1898 one. Best thing to do is to send off for the marriage cert in 1918 to get Sydney's fathers name.

Hi

There is two Sydney Bedfords in the 1901 census with fathers name of Walter. One born c1883 in Fen Drayton, Cambridgeshire and one born c1888 in Dunedin NK living in Somerset.

The 1883 ones father was an engine driver and the 1888 ones father was living on his own means.

I think Benny, i'm going to leave this one. It is not a direct relation of mine, but it would be my daughters and ex. wife.
I have found quite a few relations for them already, I have managed to get back to their 5x grandparents on most of their tree, so now they can take up the challenge.:)
I will give them what you and me have found, so that should keep them occupied for a few years.:)

But if anyone comes up with something more solid, i'll see.

Hi

At least that will give you something to start them off with. When I first began genealogy I collected as much family info as possible from relatives first.

Hi Benny,
I have a bit more info now on Sydney and Walter. They do have a connection with railways. Maybe the 1901 Cambridge entry, but too soon to tell.
I did notice on the 1891 entry, that Walter was an ag. lab, but could be steam ploughs, I don't know.
