Sydney Thomas Bedford

I have Sydney Thomas Bedford.

He was born 1881. Medway, Kent.

He died in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 22nd Jan. 1929.

I have not got a single clue where to look for info on this.

As there are far more knowledeable people here, could anyone have any ideas where to look.
Or, could some kind and lovely person (severly grovelling now) have a quick squint for any details.

I found a birth & also a death unfortunately in 1881 June qr for Medway Kent

I have looked for him in the census, and cannot find anything, do you know when he emigrated?what boat he sailed on?

He married Edith Blanch Holloway in 1918, and had a son John Sydney Bedford a few months later. And as far as I know he was an only child.

Sydney Thomas's fathers name was Walter Bedford, and I have not searched for anyone in the census.
I find it strange that he ended up in Argentina.

Railways led me to the Transandine Railway, between Argentina and Chile. The two countries mentioned for the entries of Thomas and Walter.

I have emailed the Argentine Consulate, just to see if they may have any more info.
I've also emailed The Buenos Aires Herald, as they do have an archives.

Just wondering how you got to Sydney Thomas Bedford, as I cant find him on the census and no other birth/death only what Pejay found.

There is a medal card on Ancestry for a Sydney T Bedford.

I'm sure that's him Julie. His son, John bedford was a mechanic/garage manager. So it sort of follows, father to son.
It says ASC on the medal card, so vehicle transport/mechanic must run in the blood.
I've also emailed Neil Hampshire(BiSA) for any details he might have of Walter Bedford, along with S.Bedford.
It looks like he may have been leaving Argentina to sign up. Will still have to find why he went back, if this is the man I'm after.

Just found an incoming passenger list from Argentina to Southampton arrived 05/04/1913 for Sydney Bedford. The ships name was the 'Avon'.

If this fellow turns out to be 'the man', I would think that he is some sort of engineer. (or a drug runner).

I've been looking for ages.
All I really know was that his son was put in a hospital to recover from TB. Or thats what they thought.

If he married and had a son in the same year, he wasn't much of a man to go back to Argentina and leave them. That's if he did go back.??

I cant work this one out. The Sydney born 1881 Medway seems to point to the one who died in 1881 Medway. If this is so where is your Sydneys birth, have you his marriage details?
