So interconnected. That could be Robertson, cut short by length of field. Or it could be just Robert.

Martins Elsdens Taits

I am NEW here
and joined you all because these names came up at Google Search, and it is MY family. Anyone here who is related to this family ..is my family too. Frederick Martin, youngest son of four children born to Alexander Martin, gunmakers from Glascow, who married Elizabeth Eleanor Major, born in 1882, Catford, Kent...they were first cousins, and had Elsden mothers... Alexander Martin had a sister Susannah Irvine Lindsay...

Three sons Olympic athletes, Scottish, Frederick Martin, 2 brothers, one nephew also Olympic athlete, shooting skills, archery.
Alberta, British Columbia, California lineages.

The Taits are also my relatives
through my great grandmother who married twice, she had one son I see, do you think there were others?

I want to take the Elsden lines back farther, and have not done the Majors too much yet. The Lindsays are very interesting, all information is appreciated. Look forward to talking and sharing.

Just found out through you that we Elsdens made cheese!
Hello and welcome to the Forum.

Thanks for the details. I have not tried to trace the Elsden or Martin lines. I reached the above by tracing Templeton and Tait from this:

Mary b. 21 May 1860 Lesmahagow, Lanark, Scotland

A very remote branch of my large tree. I'm not a direct descendant.
