Have you checked the WW2 indexes? Most times the indexes has their date and place of birth and next of kin.

Could be worth a stroll through trove for any family notices as well. Sometimes a death notice of a parent can have the kids names etc.

Gail has this

Loreen A 945/1908
Vernon Stanley 286/1908

I think a error has been made cause the WA indexes also state the same as his military record .......... 1909.

Hi Audrey,

The Taylor clan are my in-laws :)
I've found out quite a lot about them, since that 2012 post/thread, especially solved the 'Dick Taylor' mystery!!
I sent the tree to my FIL (now deceased) and his one remaining brother

Thank you for replying
my mother was one of Vernon Stanley Taylor sisters
Their father Herbert Henry Taylor was married to Christina Fraser (dec 1902)
they had several children they were left at a Catholic orphanage after mothers death in Perth
In 1906 he married (my grandmother) Louisa Annie Hocking a widow? in WA

Louisa Annie had a son Locke? but cannot locate marriage or anything about her supposed husband Uncle Dick never talked about IT probably didn't know anything ,one didn't discuss such matters BACK THEN
They came to Barellan NSW where he was a bookkeeper for various business
and farmers
But if you can send your email or an address I can pass on info that I have
Uncle Stan had a Boarding house in Leeton for many years also operated a café before that
Regards Audrey Parsons
