The border reivers

#1
Does anyone know much about the border reivers, i do know some clans fought amongst themselves.

The Grahams [ my clan was amongst them] even fighting and murdering
each other, Armstrongs and others were active as well.

Being a Graham myself I'm glad i wasn't around then.

Anyone knowing anything would be appreciated

Basically the reivers lived on both sides of the border in a kind of no mans land that was disputed land. It was based on the river Tweed which has moved quite a lot over the years and still gives problems over fishing rights. I suppose its always been a troublesome area even before then. Which is why Hadrian built a wall to divide the Picts from the British. Apparently we have both Grahams and Armstrongs in our family.
