This story took Britain by storm at the time..but it has been largely forgoten,yet was a massive personal tragedy for Sheffield and surrounding areas...incidently Francis Pawsons father(JMRs relly) sat on the inquest.

Yes I didn't know about it till I started reading local history books and found brief mention of it. Someone gave me the website address and I was amazed. All those people died and yet there doesn't even seem to be a memorial to them. Anyone who has ancestors in Sheffield should look at it as it lists all the claimants. One of mine claimed for tools but didn't get it.
