The former settlement of Dunwich, Suffolk.

I hear Time Team have been to some land that survived the storms of the 13th century that housed the old city of Dunwich. A small part of the town still remains but once it was one of the 3 main settlements in East Anglia alongside Norwich and Ipswich. If Dunwich had been around today it may have been the size of Liverpool due to its prime location as in the 1300s it had a population of about 3000. Now it is a hamlet of 120 people.
