Hi,

I am looking for information on the; Gray family (specifically two sisters who were born in; Oxfordshire)

. Vera D P Gray, who was born in; 1926, Oxford, Oxfordshire
. Audrey J Gray, who was born in; 1928, Headington, Oxfordshire
. Josephine Gray(Later called; Linda) who was born in; 1932, Headington, Oxfordshire. Their Mums maiden name was; Soanes.

Ive got a lot of information on Audrey, but not that much on Vera and; Josephine/Linda. I know Vera married an american man, and then moved away, but I can't find them anywhere apart from travel documents, and I only have one travel document for Linda emigrating to America. So any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Carly

Hi Val,

Ive already got that, but thanks for your help!:)

Familysearch turns up a naturalization record for:

Vera Dorothy Pearl Klutts, naturalized 1951 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. She was 25 with an estimated DOB 1926.

Same site has a death record for Tommie W. Klutts, sourse is Illinois, Cook County Deaths 1878-1922, 1959-1994.

Thomas W. or Tommie W. Klutts b. 29 January 1924 in Gleason Tennesee,
d. 30 Apr 1964 in Cook County, buried in Rosehill Cemetery. Father was Merida Klutts, mother Maggie May Beasley, wife Vera Klutts.

Thankyou so much Lirio for this info!:) Is there anything else you could dig up for me,like a news report of when tommie died please? As Ive been having no luck lol!

Thanks again

Carly

I can poke around a little more, I am curious anyway! Vera wasn't in this list, nor in the social security death index. Tommie was a machine operator, there's a faint chance of a news article if it was job related.

Well, cross your fingers. There was a single entry in the Public Trees on Anc for Tommie--his full name is Thomas Warren Klutts. It is him, going by the rest of the information. The entry for spouse and children was private, I've sent a message to the owner of the tree. Maybe this person knows what happened to Vera, I still haven't found anything more for her.
