Alright, she only married twice, but finding her in the censuses is still driving me nuts! I'm looking for Mary Ann RAY in the 1871 & 1881 censuses - she married George Ray in 1863 in West Ham, Essex. He is recorded variously as labourer or iron moulder.

Mary Ann was born about 1836 in Stanford Rivers, Essex.

George died in 1873, and Mary married William Thomas Davis (33), widower and india rubber worker (she signed as Mary DAVIS RAY). They are at 50 York St, Lambeth. Daughter Alice was born in 1867, but she is with grandparents in 1871. I can't find either Alice or Mary in 1881, or William if he is still alive.

By 1891 Mary and her daughter Alice are in British St, Bromley St Leonard.

Any help much appreciated. I've looked for them so many times and can't accept they aren't there somewhere!
