The Repair Shop, is a program on BBC1, around 4.30pm, every afternoon, except Saturday and Sunday(occasionaly on Sundays).
People take all sorts of things into be repaired, from Lamposts to Watches, from Wicker Chairs to Toy steam engines.
Last week, and old fella brought in a writing slope, just a small one. He was clearing out his 'sisters' home, after her death. He caught site of this writing slope which tucked away in the roof space, and covered in dust and dirt. He looked inside it and found his adoption details. His sister was actually his mother, and his grandparents had adopted him.
He never knew about any of this, until he found this old writing slope, and looked inside it.
The refurbishment of this writing slope, was absolutely brilliant.
Worth a watch if you have time.
Steve.
