Just hit the 1851 census, and found my maternal G.G.Grandfather William Burgess, and came upon an entry that gave me the shivers.

There was a servant at the same household with the name of Mary Sharkers(Sharkey?), who was born in Roscommon in Ireland.
I don't know if this is the town or county she was born in.

In my profile, if you've looked, you will see that I moved to Ireland a few years ago, and I am living 20 minutes drive from Roscommon town.

Is that spooky or what.

Hi

Genealogy can be spooky at times. I always wondered why I loved London so much but found that a great grandmother was from there originally.

Hi friends

A really strange thing happened when I phoned today to order my fathers
Birth Certificate. When the girl keyed in my fathers details the computer
Blanked out then came on again.

It seamed rather strange as he was estranged from most of his family maybe
He doesn't approve .

Happy haunting oh sorry I mean hunting

Spooky, well the saying goes 'the circle of life', and 'what goes around comes around' ...... sometimes it does feel as if we are being led by the hand - and not always in the right direction.
