Aged 50, according to the GRO web site.

ADAMSON, THOMAS - 50.
GRO Reference: 1840 S Quarter in STEYNING UNION Volume 07 Page 270

Type in the death reg. details, and the age at death should come up. Have you tried it.?

The schooner was the SAMUEL built 1839 Selby and the master was Thomas Adamson .That will be Thomas Rhodans Adamson father. Hope it states he had lost an arm then it's him in the 1826 paper. Adamson Brickwall gone :2fun:

Just my John Scott in Gretta to find.

The newspaper report of Thomas Adamson's inquest mentions that he was part owner of the ship the Samuel and that he had a wife and three children if that helps at all.

He had more than 3 children ,but I assume that's under working age. He's the only Thomas Adamson, Selby I have not a death for.Kind person is sending me Inquest from paper. As my Adamsons are the only ones in Selby and paper mentions Selby must be him. I,ve had that brickwall since 2005.:)and none of his children went to sea.Age is 4yrs out ,not much. Wife 1841 census living in own means.
