Hi could your Thomas ANGEL have been A Prisoner in 1851/52? Looks like March 1851 sentenced to 4 months for ?? Lunacy in Wilts then transported after his imprisonment in January 1852? If its the same person
these maybe his birth, baptism and two marriages one before being imprisoned and one after ??

apologies if this is all info you already have

Daughter Hannah born abt 1851 but no record found.
There appears to only be one entry [SP] for a Hannah Angel [probably not that simple] between 1845-1855..

Death:
ANGEL HANNAH
Age 3
05/12/1851
559/
100 236
Abbey

Interesting no birth details in that period, given she was only 3y

Geoff

EDIT: Just realised, was Hannah b. England?

Given Thomas Jr's 1844 birth in England the above may be ruled out, signed for 4y

Thanks Amanda.

I know nothing of Thomas being a prisoner. Three generations.

Thomas born Ashburton, Devon married 1818 & 1844 - d. 1848 Paisley - Army pensioner

Thomas born 1820 married 1843, 1869, 1878 - died 1897 Ayr.

Thomas born 1844 Lancs died after 1861 ?

Thanks Geoff.

Hannah was probably born England but no reg.

There is only one family that I know of in Scotland with three generations of a Thomas Angel/Angle, so a prisoner ? a merchant seaman ? Age 16 in 1840 does not fit.

But we know the origin of the name. All descendants of Thomas from Devon.

So if we have a Thomas Angel a prisoner and a merchant seaman where is other evidence we have more than the one Angel family in Scotland?

I don't suppose there is more on the marriage apart from the FreeBMD?
