Just found one of my Totty cousins' husband died in Australia. He was married to Emily Totty and she is with her parents in the 1911 in Prestwich, Lancashire (Ambrose and Emily Totty) saying married. Maybe she didn't know he had died yet. Would love to know what he was doing over there. They had a child in 1906 so he must have gone over between 1906 and 1910. Thomas was born 1879 in Salford, Broughton, Lancashire.

Maybe he went over for work and was going to send for her. Have not found him on a ship as yet.

I searched Trove and Qld. shipping and Qld. Archives and no hits at all using Thomas Bagley or Thomas B.

Like Dave I to cant find anything on him. He obviously knew someone or at the very least had time to give his details such as parents names etc as they appear on his death index. His death cert. might answer some questions as to how long he had been here for, occupation etc. Cert. can be pretty expensive tho.

Barbara, I'd suggest an email on the link above asking if there are any more details re the burial in South Brisbane Cemetery. Additional info might include other burials in same grave related or not related, who arranged the funeral or who paid for the grave, etc...
