I can't find a birth for this one - even allowing for age to be fudged, if it was.

BLACKLEY, GEORGE

Date of Birth 29 Dec 1921
Place of Birth CAIRNS, QLD
Date of Enlistment 13 Dec 1943
Locality on Enlistment CAIRNS, QLD
Place of Enlistment QLD
Next of Kin BLACKLEY, GEORGE
Date of Discharge 19 Feb 1947

I've found a way to get births in the Qld. index. I put in no date range and check the birth and marriage boxes.

I can account for the 1917 and 1943 deaths with no doubt they are my family.

I can't find any more on the Thomas with probate in 1900.

I can't see how he could fit but trying to find any details of another ? Blackley family in Mont Albion ?

I can find nothing before the 1900 probate notice.

The only hit in Trove is the marriage of my Thomas.

Cairns Post (Qld.) - Wed 20 Nov 1889 p.2
Marriage.
BLACKLEY - WRIEDE.-On November 6th, 1889, at St. John's Church, Cairns, by the Rev. Thomas R. Regg, Thomas Blackley, of Herberton, to Emma Friedericka Wriede, eldest daughter of George Y. H. Wriede, Cairns.
