Thomas Dudley 1893

Hi there,

I am looking for Thomas D Dudley who born in around 1895 and he married to Sarah Beatties and had my Nan as adopted daughter, born in 1933 after her mother died from childbirth, and her real father had 3 sons already from same partner. I am looking for Thomas's parents but difficult to find him at the moment.

I have managed to find the marriage of Thomas and Sarah. My mother confirmed that Sarah's first name and maiden was Beattie. But that all my mother knows about so far.

Please can you help me on this?

That's right as I was told by my mum that Sarah could not have any of children, that's why they was happy to have my nanny after my nanny's father could not cope with newborn baby.

Jun qtr 1893 ref 10b 686 Whitehaven.

there is a Thomas D Dunbar born 1892 Whtehaven who is a stoker 2nd class at Portsmouth on board HMS ETRICK. If this is him he's probably somewhere on this photo - http://www.battleships-cruisers.co.uk/palmer_class.htm#HMS Ettrick

I cannot find him in 1901 but it throws a question mark against the 1901 census results I posted on my 1st post

Maybe I better order my nanny's birth certification? Or adoption paperwork?

As I was told by my friend that I would able to find the birth mother and maybe father on adoption paperwork? Is it right?

Or better order birth certification instead?

If adoption is the best to order, then where can i order?

It is deffo wrong person.. as my nanny was passed away on August 2010, and her adoption name was Sylvia Ella Dunbar (she is married so her surname was Long).

Thank you guys, I appericate it.

I have decided to order my nanny's birth certificate on yesterday, as my nanny was adoption when she was newborn because her birth mother died at childbirth and her father could not cope with newborn baby.

The reason I brought up Thomas Dudley Dunbar here was because he was my nanny's adoption father and my nanny's own blood father handed my nanny over to his own brother who was Thomas Dudley Dunbar as he could not cope with newborn baby that's which I was told by my mother.

Thomas and his wife Sarah have been brought her up ever since. I don't know my nanny's father name, that's why I thought that I could try to find Thomas's parent in the census.

So I asked here for double check and to see if you guys could help and you did, i appericate it..... now you guys have managed to found Thomas's parent and my nanny's parent's name, hope it is correct parent.

It is only way to confirm that it is the correct parent was order my nanny's birth certificate, that's which I did order yesterday as I was told by my friend that on birth certificate will shows the parent's name.

My aunty have my nanny's paperwork like birth certificate and death etc, but I have been keep ask her to see if i can have copy for weeks, but she keep delay, and delay. So I gave up and order it on my own.

I hope I do the right thing to do by order birth certificate because it was my first time lol.

Anyway I will let u know if it is the correct parent once i receive that's which will be in about 2 to 3 weeks.

I am helping my friend to find Mary E J Steel (Had her birth reg shown as Steele on her daughter 's cert before she died, but was unable to find her marraige to her partner as we are trying to find out who is this person had given Buckbabeuk's nanny to Thomas and Sarah.
