No death in Vic. index for a Thomas Henry with father = James.

No death in Vic. index for a Thomas with father = James and correct mother's name.

Assuming the death reg entries are correct re parents to eliminate the others the 1926 death is the only one that fits for age.

Thomas Henry Davey
death:April 1935
burial: Melbourne City, Victoria

Brighton Cemetery details not yet on-line.

There is no death entry in the index in 1935.

Died in South Australia aged 52, so that one is ruled out.

DAVEY. —On the 28th April, in The Coorong,
South Australia (result of motor-car accident),
Thomas Henry Davey, the dearly beloved and
devoted husband of Alexandrina Victoria
Davey, of Wittersham, 263 St. Kilda street,

I can find baptisms on Cornwall OPC for all of the children of James and Maria mentioned in the 1841 Census, plus a couple more, Susan 1843 and Lucilla Frances 1846, but definitely no William.

Everything implies you are looking at the right family for Thomas and John Davey so who is William, where does he fit and what details do you have for him.

Thanks Emeltee.

I have nothing more on that William mentioned in the funeral notice. It would seem that the 1826 death in my tree is not the right one after the search for death and/or funeral notice turned up that one with a brother William.

I'm hoping the occupation in 1909 electoral roll will show it's the one in Henty or not. But, it may already be 'retired' or '---'.

Thomas either died in Bendigo around 1910 or moved to a Melbourne suburb. Looks to be 4x Thomas Davey in the rolls in Melbourne area. One Thomas Henry in later rolls who can't fit because he'd be over 100.

Just found a tree

ID: I22419
Name: Thomas Henry Davey
***: M
Birth: 26 AUG 1833
Reference Number: 29194
Death: 03 SEP 1926

Deaths in Vic. in 1926 for 4x Thomas.

Thomas f= John m= Hannah
Thomas f= John m= Grace
Thomas Henry f= Fredrick Francis m= Elizth Reg 14730

and the one I posted with parents unknown. Reg 11060

Ok, so the reg is correct but the funeral notice fits the other Thomas Henry. Burial 9 Oct so that does not fit death on 3 Sep. Reg sequence shows that.
