Thanks Val.

I can't see any marriages that stand out to connect the 2x Mason.

Thanks Val.

Something not quite right.

Her father, the late Henry Clinton, was a soldier by profession and served, with the rank of Paymaster Sergeant, with the Regiment of British Regulars in Bombay. His daughter, the subject of this notice, went to Ireland, and at the age of 17 years, in 1864, she came to Australia with two sisters, both of whom predeceased her. ...

CLINTON Rachel 18 'Lady McDonald' 1860 Sydney Reel 2139

Departed Plymouth 21 Aug 1860 Arrived Sydney 15 Dec 1860
Rachel 18 Genl. Servt. King's Co CofE Both RR

No other Clintons on that vessel and no Clintons in index in 1864.

Thanks Val.

I'm getting confused with all the Patrick Hession.

The Patrick on the vessel must have married twice and died in 1907.

Death 11940/1907 HESSION PATRICK - BRIDGET - WINDSOR

His son Patrick born 1863 must have died 1925 with an error for mother's name. Should be Sarah, Patrick senior's first wife.

Birth 14639/1863 HESSION PATRICK - PATRICK - SARAH - WINDSOR

Death 11196/1925 HESSION PATRICK - PATRICK - MARY - GRANVILLE

Ok, the deaths I have for 1x Thomas and 1x Bridget belong to the 1841 arrival not the 1839 arrival.

We now have 2x Patrick and two marriages. Or is it three marriages?

Which son Patrick married which spouse?

Which of those two families belongs in my tree?

The death of Mr. Patrick Hession, of Forrester,

After working for a time at Pitt Town, he
settled down in the Nelson locality, where he
remained till the time of his death.
..
When he landed in Sydney in 1841 ...

1913 NSW Electoral Roll - HAWKESBURY - FORRESTER POLLING-PLACE
HESSION Rachel, Forrester, domestic duties

Ok, the one in my tree arrived 1841 not 1839.

So Patrick is the one aged 9 in 1841.

The death in 1879 for Thomas with parents Patrick & Maria fits the 1841 arrival.

The death in 1898 for Bridget with parents Patrick & Bridget fits the 1841 arrival.

I had the wrong arrival in my tree.
