I'd like a look up please for Thomas in 1841 and 1851.

Hi Dave there is a tree in Anc with very little info, Thomas born 1826 Newington to James Holland 1798 to 1866 and Susannah Spinks bn 1806.
You have 1841 census Dave? Head of family Susan shopkeeper in Newington with a stack of kiddies.

Hello Ozn,

Wrong Thomas and wrong parents for the one I'm chasing.

This is the one I want in 1841 and 1851 but he is not with parents in either census. He married in NSW in 1859.

Name: Thomas Joshua Hollands
Record Type: Baptism
Date: 15 Jun 1827
Father's Name: David Frederick Hollands

Possible arrival...

Public Record Office Victoria:
Family Name Given Name Age Month Year Ship Port Fiche Page
HOLLAND THOMAS 25 DEC 1852 ORESTES B 019 005

There appears to be 2x David Frederick Holland/s' the other is also married to a Sarah - But he is b. abt. 1814. (too young)

The Thomas b. 15 June 1827, father is a shipwright.

Thanks Geoff.

Can we then say Thomas can't be found in 1841 because he is probably included in the known missing bits of London census for 1841.

If that 1854 shipping record is correct one then he sould be in England in 1851.

It is possible, I know parts of Kent were missing, but unsure which areas of London were...

I'm just checking the E/R's but it doesn't give occ's. so hopefully middle names will give them away

Most of Paddington and part of Kensington are missing from the 1841 census.

In 1859 marriage he is an accountant.
