The marriage licence bond is on FMP;-
date 21 June 1848, licence issued 22 June

Thomas James, No. 5 Kent St Liverpool, Cash Keeper, aged 30, batchelor
Mary Anderson Yates, 2 Essen St (?) Liverpool, aged 16, spinster
With consent of Mary Yates, Mother, her father being dead

at St Marks church.

The baptism entry at Manchester Cathedral does not give a date of birth. Only additional information is abode Hulme and occupation weaver.

marriage Manchester Cathedral 10 June 1824
William Yates, batchelor, o.t.p. small ware weaver
Mary Anderson, o.t.p. spin.

There was a Mary Anderson Yates bapt. Hulme 13 June 1825, d.o. William & Martha , I imagine this should read Mary and this first child died.

Looks like the bapt for Mary Anderson Yates in Hulme in 1825 has mixed up Mary/Martha for the mother/daughter.

1841 for Thomas James, this looks likely :-

Thomas James
Age 25
Duke Street Eastern Side, Liverpool
Registration district Liverpool
Archive reference HO107
Piece number 565
Book number 7
Folio number 30
Page number 9

He is given as Taylor Draper, n.b.t.c.
He appears to be lodging with four other young men in the home of an Ann Parry who seems to be a widow with a young son.

Thanks Elaine.

I looked on FS in Middlesex and found too many then looked in Lancashire and found about 5.

Occupation looks right given it's draper in LofA.
