So the informant got the father wrong and it's George not James.

I looked at Assisted Immigrants to NSW and didn't find Thomas.


I spent 6 hours in the SLNSW today looking at shipping reels and BMD fiche and a book with South Australian BMD neatly printed including details of marriages that even have father's name.
