If he left NSW between 1908 and 1910 I doubt he'd be back in the same suburb of Auburn in 1913, in trouble in 1919 then death in Qld. in 1920.

If he left NSW then I think he didn't return and died 1920 in Qld.

If that's him in 1913 and 1919 then I'm not sure about death in Qld.

We should check for any family in Sheffield street in 1913.

Lithgow Mercury Wed 6 Sept 1922

The death occurred on Monday night at the hospital from pneumonia of Mr John Patrick Jenkins aged 49 years. The deceased was fairly well known in Lithgow and until May this year was employed at the small arms factory. Until recently he had been unable to secure employment. A widow and 8 children are left. To them sincere sympathy will be extended particularly as the whole circumstances are unusually sad.

Thanks Val.

Thanks Geoff.

Thanks gibbo.

Hard to read that emailed image - probably Augustine and not Augustus.

So WA and then back to NSW in Lithgow.

Marriage not in Vic. index.

Yes, 2 sets of twins - consecutive reg no.

It is there
2883/1865 JINKINS JEREMIAH - BYRNE JOHANNA - PARRAMATTA * 21 Feb

Don't think this tree is very accurate.

Johannah married Jeremiah Jerome Jenkins in 1865, at age 21 at marriage place.
Jeremiah was born circa 1836.
They had one son: William Augustine Jenkins.
Johannah passed away in 1939, at age 95 at death place.

Age looks well out [18] also may be a local trip...

This may be worth a thought..

PROV:
Age 25, ship 'CITY OF MELBOURNE', Jul 1862, JENKINS JEREMIAH

Age is a better fit. Another record has him as Irish, departed Liverpool, destination possibly Sydney and occ = labourer, possibly on his own.
