Thanks gibbo.

I've been staining a desk a darker colour and the fumes are bad. I'm no painter. I'm a better stone mason.
The stain dries so quickly it's impossible not to leave brush marks.

No, I've been using a 38mm soft brush.
It's only a tiny 250ml tin of Cabot's stain & varnish.

Two so far. The ends look ok but the front and top are very poor.
The two ends are thin plywood so they came up ok.
The drawers not too bad but the top of the desk is no good.
It says sand with 240 grit paper between coats so I did.

NEALE JOHN 9054/1875 - WILLIAM - SARAH - PARRAMATTA

The Grafton Argus and Clarence River General Advertiser
Mon 25 Oct 1875

The Parramatta correspondent of the 'Herald'' writing regarding the demise of Mr. John Neale,' J.P., states— This gentleman expired at his' residence, Macquarie-street, at about 5 o'clock p.m. on the 14th instant. He was one of the ", oldest natives of our town, and had within a few days attained his 78th year. He was the father of Mr. James Thomas Neale (formerly one of the representatives of Sydney in the Legislative Assembly), and of Mr. T. Neale, now Police Magistrate at Hartley. He has resided continuously in Parramatta since September, 1856, and won the esteem and regard of all classes. He was a very earnest and useful member of the Wesleyan Church, and at different times filled nearly all of the lay offices in connection with it. He was a warm supporter of tempeiance and very charitable. This gentleman was we believe a relative of the Messrs. Neale, of South Grafton. —
