Hi

My 3xgreat grandfather was Thomas Musgrave. He was born in late 1827 in Darlington, Durham but lived for most of his life in St Helen Auckland Durham. He is on the 1891 census aged 63, a coal miner, widow in St Helen Auckland.

I have tried for a while to find a death certificate. I have tried surname variants, first name and even any age matches. I cannot find him in the 1901 census anywhere so I presume he died.

I wonder if a fresh pair of eyes would help?

Hi Ben
I have done a 10yr search for the above. I thought I had him until I reread the age which was 0 in Auckland.
I did find a few but not the right ages in the right place
1900 in Chorlton 8c 735 age 82 Jan - Mar
1901 in Mansfield 7b 35 age65 July - Sept
1902 in Easington 10a 241 age 70 Apr - June

Not much help I'm afraid

Hi Nainmaddie

Thanks for those and it makes me wonder if he moved in the mining trade from St Helen Auckland to another area or he emigrated although that does seem odd he'd decide to do that in his 60s.

Hi Leefer

That Thomas could be a relation.

My Thomas born in 1827 just vanishes after 1891. Maybe his death is mistranscribed or he did move and died elsehwere.
