Hello,

This is a bit of a fishing exercise. I'm looking for a Thomas WILMOT born about 1782 in Gloucestershire. Seems there are at least three of them married to Dinah, Maria and Phoebe.

I'd like a look up for Thomas in 1841 please.

Regards,

Dave

Hello Julie,

Thank you very much.

I'm trying to trace possible siblings of Ann WILMOT (baptised 1802 aged 9 at Bitton) who is in my tree and a Thomas born about 1782 is one.

Please see if you can find them in 1851. Thanks.

Regards,

Dave

Hello Julie,

Please see if you can find Thomas & Maria or perhaps just Maria in 1851.

A Dinah aged 24, and a Dinnah aged 2 and a Dinnah aged 66 in 1851.

It could be WILLMOT, WILLMOTT, WILMOT or WILMOTT

Thanks.

Regards.

Dave

Hello Julie,

Thank you very much.

I'm finding lots of stuff on the new FamilySearch site that does not seem to be 100% reliable. Not just things such as those mentioned in my topic on the marriages board where they seem to confuse Abbots Leigh with Hanham Abbots on the other side of Bristol but that the census details there don't seem to match what other sources have.

I checked and found no Maria and no Phoebe WILMOTs in Gloucester in 1851 but did find the three Dinahs as I listed. Sometimes they list the RD and sub-RD but not always.

Regards,

Dave

Hello Julie,

Thanks.

I went back to the FS site again to double check the one aged 24 and it listed no RD or Sub-RD or even county. I put place = Gloucester but it didn't even say if the census place was Gloucestershire just that that's where Dinah was born.

I don't know if it's much of a help listing what that site has or not. There are some I found there that can't be found on other sites. Perhaps an age helps a bit.

Ok a good example. The 1841 census topic Joseph LEAR. I took those details off the new FS site and it has the RD etc but so far no one has been able to find it.

Regards,

Dave
