Sorry guys, I meant to put Thomas's 1841 census lookup under the 1841 header. But I am also looking for him in the 1851 census with his wife Elizabeth. Their daughter Lucy was christened 1844 in Brompton Ralph, Somerset and in 1861 she is shown with her aunt and uncle at age 16 as a visitor and then in 1871 as living with them.

Regards
Jackie

thanks.
i am still trying to tie in Lucy Winters. She was the first child of Thomas and Eliza, chris in 1844 in Brompton Ralph. In 1871 census, she is with Isaac Rabbets and wife Mary Ann and it states Lucy as being niece.
But as Isaac did not have a sister who married a Thomas Winters, it could only have been a sister to Mary Ann.
But now, I can't find a Mary Ann Downing to tie them up:(

Hi,
Think I found your connection.

Lucy is with her aunt and uncle again in 1861 as you know she is in 1871.
The connection is their marriage.

OND 1842 Taunton Somerset Vol 10 Page 680
Thomas winter (No S) Married Eliza Conibeere, presumably the sister to Mary Ann Conibeer who married Isaac Rabbets.

So the first marriage I found in 1842 to Eliza Downing was incorrect. Sorry about that. Shows how easy it is to make mistakes.

Hope this answers your Questions.
