I have just returned after a 4 day trip to Melbourne, Victoria. My sister and decided to drive there, (700kms) each way, to do some market shopping and see the Titanic exhibition at the Melbourne Museum.
It was amazing, well worth the trip, and so informative.
I am now briefly researching the name of 2 of the survivors, just out of curiosity.
We were issued a boarding pass when entering the display, and it was in the name of a passenger on the Titanic, along with a brief history of that person.
My sister, who wasn't interested in genealogy, is now asking for details of our family history. I am only too glad to show her my research. It was a really pleasant holiday.Good food, good company...but we lost at the Casino:'(
