Hi all, (seem to be posting loads of threads in this section! :) )

In another thread, I've just found out that a very likely ancestor was a tobacconist.
Could anyone enlighten me as to exactly what this involved (especially for someone who was a tobacconist in London, situated a stones throw away from the Thames) and would it have been a lucrative business in the early 1800's??

Thanks for any help:)
Ryan
