can someone help to find any information on tommy washer. i know he married gwendlyn washer(unknown maiden name) they had children mary gwendlyn proctor (nee washer) fred washer dorice ford (nee washer) and george washer.

Are you sure Tommy married a Gwendlyn. Found a birth for a Mary G Washer in Sussex mothers maiden name Bennett. When putting in Washer with spouses name Bennett this one came up.

Snap. I agree with your postings Julie. The Violet wedding is the only one which fits. Possibly she hada 2nd name, which was not put on the marriage cert
There is another birth which I think is their 1st child, Thomas G - J/S 1930 Brighton. Is this george?

Still trying to find out the first name of spouse Gladman. Ancestry get their info from the free bmd, Gladman isnt showing up on the marriage index as an individual only as spouse Gladman. Frustrating or what.

Just looked for Violet in you know where. She was born 1911, Cuckfield, 2nd name Eva.
EDIT Thomas was born 1908 Brighton which may explain his 1st child being born there

As far as I can see Thomas was married to Violet Eva.

Violet's parents were George 1860 Balcombe and Belinda 1871 St Pancras
They married 1899 +/-1yr and had 3 children.

Hi, sorry I've been a while, I've been busy tiling a bathroom.

Sorry but the info I gave you re Violets parents may be wrong. If so her siblings will be wrong also, but I think all other info stays the same
If you are sure about her having a sister Edith, this may be her. The fact this Violet was born 1912, explains why she was not on the 1911 census.

these are the only three children born to parents Bennett/Downes but there is something wrong with the dates for Edith and Aubrey.
