Tracing my Grandfather-Frederick Lee

I desperately need some help finding my grandad. All I have is a Wedding Certificate and the fact he was in the RHA(Royal Horse Artillery) Kings Troop. I have his Army Attestment Date of Joining when he was 19 which it says 1903( he was a shoemaker, however census information shows 1902 for Frederick Lee. He originated from Burton on Trent and that was where my father was born in 1929. However he died when my father was about 4-6 years old about. I have found a Frederick dying in 1934 but not sure whether it is him. Will a death certificate show an address?
The marriage certificate shows his fathers name of John Jack Charles Lee but I cannot find him or my grandad on 1911 census, which I should be able to do. I have twice made applications for birth certificate and ended up with the same one with parents name being incorrect. He was born in the Parish of St Pauls in Burton on Trent.
I am at my wits end and do not know which direction to go in. I lost my father 13 years ago so can obtain no information other than what I have. I have even checked on various genealogy website and unable to find my great grandad listed either. Not with a full name.
Could someone please advise me what to do next

Hi Geoff
Thanks for your reply. How do I find that information as not able to find it even with putting address in which is the one I found on his Army information?
Can you supply me with a link?

Hi
Thanks so much for all your information, I am registered on Ancestry so have gone on there and I now have a copy of the census. I already had a copy of the birth certificate but did not think it was the right one until you came up with the information you gave me. It will now allow me to go a little further backwards, you have been a great help. thanks
