So you climb up the ladder with your bag. Pick some apples until the weight swings the ladder down for you to put the apples into the wagon. As the apples go in your weight reduces allowing the ladder to return to the upright position so you can pick some more apples. No? ah well........

Hi Guy,
Im not sure about corn, i know alot in the family grew wheat tho some might have farmed other produce at some stage. Maybe it worked the same way with wheat:confused:


Lee it isnt my photo i just printed it off:biggrin: my aunt and a couple of others have put a book together on the Pratt family and had it printed, i had a glance through the copy mum has and its interesting reading and quiet a few family pics in it as well, my aunt is going to send me a copy of it.

Yes here in the UK we often use corn as a generic term for cereal corps rather than simple maize.

Well there you go i learnt something today about the corn been a generic term for cereal crops in the UK:biggrin: Wonder if anyone over here uses the term like the UK does:confused: To me corn is corn and wheat is wheat etc:2fun::2fun: Thanks Guy.
